More things I want to remember

Brianna had her blessing day last Sunday - pictures to come sometime. It was great to have so much of my family there. She was so awake and smiley during Sacrament meeting when she is usually asleep at that time. She seems to be the kind of generally happy kid, who also doesn't want to miss out on a thing.
We went to the zoo yesterday and again, she is usually asleep, but stayed awake until the very end. Just happy and wanting to be a part of life.
She is also already a good sleeper. I will often get at least a 6 hour stretch of sleep at night and last night Brianna went 8 hours! I love my happy, smiley, chubby, good sleeping baby.

Lyndie continues to grow up on me and is such a good, sweet, girl. She says so many funny and cute things. My parents got their mission call to the Australia, Melbourne mission. (They leave the end of October). We told Lyndie when they got their call what they were going to do and that night (and every night since) she has started praying for them saying "Thanks for grandma Lorna and grandpa Steve being missionaries"

She also prays for us as her family and will jump up and shout, pointing to each of us, "Thanks for you, Mom! and for you Dad! and for you Brianna!"
We have also told her we don't talk to strangers. So she said, "do we look at strangers?" I said, "No, we don't look at strangers", to which she replied, "Do we sniff strangers". "No, Lyndie, we don't sniff strangers".

Lyndie still loves, loves reading and has enjoyed the many books brought home to her from her grandma Chris who is retiring this year as a Kindergarten teacher. One book has a goat with a "beard" and she asked what it was, I told her it was a goatee. The next page had a cow, and she asked, "Mom, does the cow have a cowtee?"

Anyway, she had a MAJOR meltdown yesterday, when her dad left for a meeting. (learning how to turn doorknobs and unlock locks in the process) What was it that finally calmed her down you ask? She found the CO detector that we had taken down to put new batteries in and started trying to figure it out, putting it together and taking it apart again.

A few weeks ago,she also wanted to play Beyblades with her cousins, but didn't have one. No problem, she went to the bucket of legos and found pieces that looked like Beyblades and put them together to be a part of the fun.

We are so enjoying this sunshine. Yes, even I am, even if I prefer to enjoy it in the shade or from my house. Lyndie desperately needs outside time daily and are so grateful for good weather. We are looking forward to a summer full of fun.

We love our girls, but we sure have our hands full. I am sure more funny stories to come soon.
